App Manager

The Application Manager (App Manager) is a component of the Mobile Reach App Launcher and is used to download new Mobile Reach Apps from the Gateway server to the mobile device and to update or delete existing Apps on the device.

Ensure Mobile Reach Preferences have been set on the device before running App Manager. See iOS/Android install/preferences, Windows 10 Client install/preferences, or Windows/WM device install/preferences for more information.

When selected, App Manager automatically contacts the Gateway and displays the Apps available for that device.

After opening App Manager, touch any entry on the App Manager window to download all available Apps to the device. After the initial download, the App Manager window can be used to determine whether Apps on the device need to be updated or deleted.

After downloading/updating/deleting the Apps, the device reverts to the launcher window, which displays the downloaded Apps.

iOS/Android/Windows 10 Client

Touch the App Manager icon () on the Mobile Reach launcher window to open App Manager. The icon next to the App indicates the file status in the App Manager window.

  • : The App has changed and will be updated on the device.
  • : The App has not changed.
  • : The App will be deleted from the device at the next update.

Touch anywhere in the window to perform the appropriate tasks for all Apps. After upgrade is complete, the available Apps display in the launcher window.

Windows/Windows Mobile

For a Windows or WM device, select Application Manager from the Tools menu to open App Manager.

If any files in the Deployment folder on the Gateway have been added or changed, you are prompted to upgrade the status of the Apps. Select Ok. After upgrade is complete, the available Apps display in the launcher window.

BlackBerry

For a Blackberry device, access App Manager from the client menu.

If any files in the Deployment folder on the Gateway have been added or changed, you are prompted to upgrade the status of the Apps. Select Proceed with Upgrade. After upgrade is complete, the available Apps display in the launcher window.
