Windows Mobile Client install

NOTE: Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) must be installed on the machine where the Mobile Reach Windows Mobile Client is being installed.

The Windows Mobile Client is installed automatically as part of a Full Package install and is checked by default on a Custom install. See InstallShield for more information.

The Windows Mobile Client must be installed before the Mobile Reach Client can be downloaded to a Windows Mobile device. To install the Mobile Reach Client on a Windows Mobile device at the same time, attach the device to the machine where the Windows Mobile Client is being installed.

  1. If a Windows Mobile device is attached to the machine where you are installing Windows Mobile Client, after the files are copied to the machine, a message displays, saying to check the mobile device for additional configuration tasks.

  2. On the device, install Microsoft SQL Mobile 2005 and Mobile Reach Splitware. You can install both software packages to a different location than the default:

    wm_install_sqlmobile wm_install_splitware

  3. After performing the installation on the device, touch OK on the ‘check your mobile device’ message on the machine where you installed Windows Mobile Client. InstallShield will complete the installation.
